Terms of Use
Last updated 2026. Written to be read — if anything here is unclear, ask and we'll fix the wording.
The short version
LearnWithPython is free to use. Don't attack it, don't scrape it wholesale, and don't pass the lesson content off as your own. We provide it as-is and can't promise it will never break. You can delete your account whenever you like.
1. Using the site
You may use LearnWithPython for personal learning and teaching, free of charge, with or without an account. An account only exists to save your progress.
You agree not to: attempt to disrupt or overload the service; automate bulk requests against it; attempt to access other people's accounts; or republish the lessons, challenges or projects as your own work.
2. Your account
You're responsible for keeping access to your account secure. Pick a password you don't use elsewhere, or sign in with Google. Tell us if you think someone else has got in.
We may suspend an account that is being used to attack or abuse the service.
3. Your code
Code you write in lessons, challenges and the playground runs in your own browser and is not sent to us. Notes and drafts stay in your browser's local storage. We store your progress — which lessons you finished — not your code.
4. The content
Lessons, challenges, projects and the cheatsheet are ours. You're welcome to use them to learn and to teach individuals. Republishing them, or training a model on them wholesale, is not permitted without asking.
Python itself, and the third-party resources we link to, belong to their own owners. Links out are provided because they're useful, not because we control them.
5. No warranty
The service is provided "as is". It's a free learning tool, not a certified qualification, and we don't guarantee it will be available, error-free, or that finishing it will get you a job. To the extent the law allows, we're not liable for losses arising from using it.
6. Changes and ending
We may change these terms; material changes will be noted on this page with a new date. You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account from your profile.
